    Road: Trunk 3
    Segment: From the Willet Road to the Shelburne County Line
    Road Repair, one lane traffic, reduced speed, be prep to stop, expect delays from 2014-06-18 to 2014-08-30, Trunk 3, from Willett Road to Shelburne County Line, approximately 6.5 kms. Ditching, culvert replacement, Cold planing, asphalt concrete patching and repaving.
  • LUNENBURG COUNTY:
    - Crousetown Rd, from Conquerall Mills Rd to Italy Cross Rd, is under construction effective August 18, 2014 with an expected completion date of October 31, 2014 or earlier. Traffic will be limited to Stop-and-Go during construction, with alternating lane closure.
    - Varner #2 Bridge on Route 208 in New Germany will be under construction effective July 9, 2014 with an expected completion date of June 30, 2015. Traffic may be limited to Stop-and-Go periodically during construction.
    - Forties Rd, from Fraxville Rd to Barss Corner Rd, is under construction with an expected completion date of September 30, 2014 or earlier. Traffic will be limited to Stop-and-Go during construction, with alternating lane closure.
    - Cherryfield Rd, from Trunk 10 to East Dalhousie Rd, is under construction effective August 18, 2014 with an expected completion date of October 31, 2014 or earlier. Traffic will be limited to Stop-and-Go during construction, with alternating lane closure.
    - Back Centre Rd, from Trunk 3 southerly, is under construction effective August 18, 2014 with an expected completion date of October 31, 2014 or earlier. Traffic will be limited to Stop-and-Go during construction, with alternating lane closure.
    - Vaughan Rd, from Trunk 3 to the end, will be under construction effective August 18, 2014 with an expected completion date of October 31, 2014 or earlier. Traffic will be limited to Stop-and-Go during construction, with alternating lane closure.
    - Crouses Settlement Rd, from Route 332 to Grimm Rd, will be under construction effective August 25, 2014 with an expected completion date of September 15, 2014, or earlier. Traffic will be limited to Stop-and-Go during construction, with alternating lane closure.
    QUEENS COUNTY:
    - West Street, from the Town of Liverpool northerly, is under construction effective August 18, 2014 with an expected completion date of October 31, 2014 or earlier. Traffic will be limited to Stop-and-Go during construction, with alternating lane closure.
  • - Until further notice, Old Port Mouton Road K class section of road that goes from End of Service on Old Port Mouton gravel section to the beginning of service near Beech Hill Rd. distance of 2.98km will be closed to traffic due to structure stability of the bridge in this area. Closed until further notice.
  • KINGS COUNTY: Whitman Bridge
    Whitman Bridge on Whitman Road is closed between Maple Avenue and Ward Road in Aylesford for repairs until further notice. Detour in place.
  • HANTS COUNTY:
    Gardiners Truss Bridge on Garden Road is open with a 12 tonne weight restriction.
    HANTS COUNTY:
    The bridge on Clayton McKay Road in Brooklyn is open with a five tonne weight restriction. The detour for traffic is as follows: Eastbound traffic on Ashdale, heading to McKay Rd turn right on Woodville Rd, then right on McKay. West bound on McKay heading to Ashdale Rd and Smiley's Park, stay on Mckay, turn left on Woodville, turn left on Ashdale and for Smiley's Park, left on Clayton Mckay Rd.
    HANTS CO: Beginning July 28th continuing through until Aug. 31/14 Stewiacke Road 3.3km and Monte Vista Road 3.5 will be down to one lane with stop and go traffic for repair work.
    Route 236 from Route 215 to the Gosse Bridge will be under repair work beginning August 11th and continuing until Sept. 30th. This will involve lane closure.
  • HANTS COUNTY:
    - West Indian Road : from Ess Road to George Field Road approx. 6.6 kms

  • HANTS COUNTY:
    Cross Road # 3 West Hants is open to traffic not exceeding 15 tonnes.
    Woodville Road from Ashdale Rd southerly to Ardoise School House Road AND the Ashdale Road from Woodville Rd westerly 2.7 kms in West Hants will have stop and go traffie from August 18, 2014 until October 31, 2014 while the two roads are repaved.
  • HALIFAX COUNTY:
    Route 277 from Route 215 to Hurshman Road, will have alternating lane closures due to road construction between Aug 11th and Sept 30th.
  • -Highway 102 at Exit 0 Joseph Howe Drive- ramps closed use alternate route
    -Temporary closure in effect from Friday Aug 22 21:00 to Monday Aug 25 05:00
    -Detour will be in place for trucks via Northwest Arm Drive St. Margaret's Bay Road
  • HALIFAX COUNTY:
    - Road construction on Cooks Brook Road From July 7th - August 22. Expect delays with alternating lane closures and stop and go traffic from Rte 357 Northerly approx. 5.5 km.
  • Eddy road to Fort Lawrence is closed until further notice due to culvert collapse.
  • BRIDGE CLOSURES:
    - Moores Ford Bridge Wast branch Rd closed for repairs, detour in place.
    ROADS CLOSED DUE TO SPRING CONDITIONS:
    - RTE 256 posted 20 t max. between RTE 311 Kennedy Hill Rd.
  • PICTOU COUNTY:
    - Back Road is closed near it's eastern end near the intersection with Stillman Road. All of Back Road is still accessible from the Brookland Road or Plant Road. This closure is due to bridge damage that occurred as a result of a rain storm in September 2012. It is currently scheduled to be replaced in 2014.
    - Porter Road is closed at the northern end near/at the Elmfield Road due to bridge damage that occurred as a result of a rain storm in Sept 2012. It is currently scheduled to be replaced in 2014. All of Porter Road is still accessible from the southern end of the road.
    - Joudrey Rd from Trunk 6 to Lewisville Rd is closed and from Lewisville Rd to Mountain Rd-Local traffic-12t
    - Foord RD - CLOSED-Impassable
    - MacIntosh Rd - Local Traffic only-12T
    - MacKay Rd West Branch end - Local traffic only-12T
    - Mackay Rd - Mountain end IMPASSABLE
  • ANTIGONISH COUNTY:
    Trunk 4 highway near civic 13816, Aulds Cove, closed to through traffic as result of a culvert collapse. This closure affects traffic between Exits 38 and 39. The road is open to local traffic except at the location of the culvert collapse. Location is approx. 1 km west of Exit 39 Aulds Cove.
  • GUYSBOROUGH COUNTY:
    - The Melford Brook Bridge on Route 344 at Middle Melford is closed. A two-lane detour bridge is in place until a permanent bridge is built. The speed limit has been reduced to 60 kilometres per hour and warning signs are in place.
  • RICHMOND COUNTY: The Stirling Road is closed at the Loch Lomond end until further notice.
  • Gillis Bridge on North Branch Road just past Usige Ban Falls Park closed until further notice.
  • INVERNESS NORTH:
    - Crowdis Bridge in Northeast Margaree is closed to all traffic. Use alternate routes - Cranton Cross Road, West Big Intervale Road and Hatchery Road.
    - Beginning July 12/13 the Hays River Bridge located on the West Lake Ainslie Road is now reduced to 15 tonne maximum weightrestriction.----The steel truss bridge at Kingross Cross that join West Big Intervale to East Big Interlale roads has a reduced weight restriction to 2 ton MAX.
  • ONE LANE DETOUR ON SOUTH MOUNTAIN:
    The public is advised to expect traffic delays in Cape Breton Highlands National Park on the Cabot Trail between Neil's Harbour and Cape North from mid-June to September 30/14.
    Traffic lights and a one lane detour will result in up to 15 minute delays for the travelling public during culvert replacement work.
    Parks Canada regrets any inconvenience this may cause the travelling public.
  • Long Island Bridge on Grand Narrows Rd closed for repairs beginning Aug 18/14 to Aug 30/14 this will result in 24 hour closure. Alternate routes will be Scotch Lake Rd Route 223
